The rUNdead team is back with another zombie-and-fun-filled family event leading up to their annual 5K race. The group’s latest venture is The Amazing Zombie Race, which is scheduled for July 26th.
Over 100 teams of two will compete in this inaugural event in an attempt to be the first to find photographic (Instagram) evidence of 30 zombies at 15 locations. Participants will use a map and a set of clues to locate the undead monsters. Teams should meet at the U.S. Customs House at 3:30 pm.
The race concludes at 6 pm will a celebration at The Kickin’ Chicken on King Street. Drink and appetizer specials will available for the survivors (and zombies).
There will be cash prizes for the winners of the race, while the most authentic zombies will earn free registration for October’s rUNdead 5K. There will also be door prizes given out during the event.
Tickets are $30 per team (teams of 2) or $5 for Zombies. Fifty-percent of the net proceeds will go to the Lowcountry Food Bank.
