Vegetable Bin Closing; Mellow Mushroom Opening
While Holy City Sinner was on a mini-vacation, two Charleston businesses found themselves on opposite sides of the news – The Vegetable Bin announced it was closing, while Mellow Mushroom announced plans for a new location.
Yesterday, the owners of The Vegetable Bin passed along the sad news that they would be closing their doors “within the next few weeks.” The news became a little brighter today when the owners posted the following on Facebook:
“Just want to clarify…We are not being forced to close by any means. We have just made the decision to explore other opportunities and hopefully bring back a better store (in a different location) for all of you wonderful people!”
Meanwhile, the Mellow Mushroom franchise announced it would be expanding into North Charleston. The new restaurant will be located in Centre Pointe across from the Nike and Saks Fifth Avenue outlet stores. It is scheduled to open during the first half of 2015.
