Circa 1886 Named One of the Most Romantic Restaurants in America

Published

on

circa1886In celebration of August being National Romance Month, ProFlowers decided to analyze over 200 restaurants to determine which were the most romantic ones in America. The top 15 scores were recently released and the Holy City’s own Circa 1886 was included. The downtown fine dining establishment checked in at the No. 13 spot.
To create the list, ProFlowers started with a group of 245 restaurants that were frequently named “most romantic” by popular websites like OpenTable, Restaurant.com, Gayot, and Travel + Leisure. To determine the most romantic spots, ProFlowers ranked each restaurant based on their patrons’ opinions through 4 sets of data:
  • Romance Density – How often terms like “romantic” and “anniversary” were used in Yelp reviews.
  • Place Score – Combined ranking based on noise level, whether children were encouraged, and overall ambiance.
  • Awards Score – A bonus for restaurants that were mentioned as a “most romantic restaurant in America” by the aforementioned websites.
  • Availability Score – “The harder it is to get reservations, the higher indication of exclusivity, which can create a more romantic allure.”
