Inaugural Lowcountry Mushroom Gathering
There’s a fungus among us fun guys! After working with the Coastal Conservation League to make the sale of foraged mushrooms legal, GrowFood Carolina will host the inaugural Mushroom Gathering at their Morrison Drive headquarters on Thursday, September 11th.
The event will feature mushroom dishes made by local chefs, local beer, and more. The gathering will be casual and will be held both inside the GrowFood warehouse and outside.
The event came to fruition after new guidelines regarding foraged mushrooms (Chanterelles, Morels, etc.) went into effect this spring and the first group of mushroom identifiers/foragers were certified earlier in the summer.
GrowFood requests that all attendees park in the lots across the street from their 990 Morrison address.
