Restaurant Week Ditches Tiered Menus, But Few Abandon Popular Model
As many of you have known, Charleston Restaurant Week will return on September 3rd and run through Sunday, September 14th. What some of you may not know is that there is an important change for the latest edition this highly-anticipated Holy City event.
The city-wide event will still feature over 100 restaurants offering specially-priced menus, but this time around they will not be utilizing the well-known tiered pricing structure of “3 courses for $20, $30, or $40.” Instead, each restaurant is allowed to create their own special menu for the event.
Before you totally freak out, you can rest easy knowing most restaurants are sticking to the original format – including some of the more expensive locations. The establishments that did make changes, didn’t stray far from the original concept. For instance, The Green Goat (1300 Savannah Hwy) decided to offer a “3 for $25” deal, Indaco (526 King Street) will have a “3 for $35” option, newcomer Swig & Swine goes “2 for $20,” and CO decided to offer a “4 for $25” special.

As usual, it is recommended that all patrons make reservations as soon as possible. For more information visit click here.
