Iron Brew Festival Returns on October 18th
On Saturday October 18th, from 2 pm to 6 pm, Mellow Mushroom Avondale and Holy City Brewery will co-host the the third edition of the Iron Brew Festival – the area’s largest home brewing competition. The finale will be held at the Holy City Tap Room.Since late July, home brewers have been hard at work creating a unique beer that includes this year’s featured ingredient – chocolate. Each competitor will present their entry at Iron Brew 3.
Festival attendees will be able to sample each of the beers and vote for their favorite. Plus, guests will be able to enjoy live music, games, and snacks provided by Mellow Mushroom.
The winning home brewer will have their beer made by Holy City Brewing, which will then distribute it to the Mellow Mushroom locations throughout the Palmetto State.
Admission is a $10, which will be donated to the Galavas Kolonko Foundation, a local nonprofit. The organization helps students with disabilities cover the costs associated with attending college.
