National “Talk Like a Pirate Day,” everyone’s favorite faux holiday, is on Friday, September 19th, and Blackbeard’s Cove Family Fun Park will celebrate by offering a weekend of family-friendly events.
The weekend starts on Friday at 6 pm with Mount Pleasant police officers reading pirate books to children ages 5 to 11. A scavenger hunt, which is open to all families follows at 7 pm. On Saturday, the venue will host special guests Captain Bob and Eric the Pirate, who will make balloons for children from 3 pm – 5 pm. More family scavenger hunts will be held at 11 am and 5 pm.
Blackbeard’s Cove will also be open on Sunday from 10 am until 9 pm. Any guests who come dressed as a pirate will receive free putt-putt. This offer is good for the entire weekend.
