The Follypalooza Street Festival & Cancer Benefit Returns This Saturday
Follypalooza, a street festival and benefit event, will be held this Saturday on Folly Beach’s Center Street from 11 am until 5 pm. The festival will once again raise money for locals who, due to medical ailments, are in desperate need of financial support.
Over the event’s first six years, nearly $31,000 has been raised and donated to 24 individuals. All patients are nominated by The Folly Angels and the Folly Beach Exchange Club.
Follypalooza is free to attend, so donations come from the money raised through sponsorships, t-shirt sales, a silent auction, carnival games, and other activities.
This year’s festival will include:
- Live music
- Danny Clamp
- Don’t Mess with the Tiger
- Sweet T & Chuckwagon
- Tavelin’ Kine
- Jamisun
- Carnival games for all ages
- Cool Ray from the Charleston Stingrays
- a fortune teller
- face painting
- laser tag
- a 50/50 drawing
- and more
Businesses or individuals interested in participating and/or supporting Follypalooza through sponsorships, silent auction donations, volunteering, or monetary donations can contact follypalooza4cancer@gmail.com or 843-323-5607.
The event primarily raises money for cancer patients, but donates money on a case-by-case basis.
