Report: Thomas Ravenel Accused of Assaulting Woman

Update: 11/7/14 – The charges against Ravenel have been dropped. Police called the charges “unfounded.”

The Charleston City Paper, citing a police incident report, says U.S. Senate candidate and Southern Charm cast member Thomas Ravenel has been accused of assaulting a woman this past Friday at his downtown residence. The paper was told by police that the investigation is still ongoing and no arrest has been made.
The accusation was made by Lauren Moser, the woman he allegedly assaulted. Moser is reportedly the hairdresser and friend of Kathyrn Dennis, Ravenel’s girlfriend and mother of his child.
The allegation comes less than two weeks after political blogger Will Folks accused Ravenel of sending him harassing texts.
