Southern Season Accepting Entries for 3rd Home Brew Contest
Southern Season, the specialty gourmet food store in Mount Pleasant, is currently accepting entries for the third annual Home Brew Contest, a part of the Southern Season Beer Extravaganza.
Home brewers can submit their creations in one of three categories – Lagers, Ales and fruit/vegetable-centric. The deadline to submit is Saturday, November 1st. There is a required $5 entry fee.
The contest, which is sanctioned by the Beer Judge Certification Program, will conclude on Tuesday, November 4th at the Southern Season store in Chapel Hill. The winners will be announced during the Beer Extravaganza on Saturday, November 8th.
Prizes include:
- Grand prize: $500 Southern Season gift card
- Best of State Winners: $250 gift card
- Category Winners: $75 gift card
