Local Movember Group Hosting Multiple Events This Month

It’s November, so you know what that means – men all over the world are ditching their razors and growing moustaches for Movember, a movement committed to bringing awareness to men’s health.

Funds raised during Movember are used in combating prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health problems.

Movember Charleston, a local version of the Movember movement, will be raising money and awareness by hosting the following events in the Holy City:

• Throughout the month
  • Anyone can purchase a paper moustache for $1 at bars and restaurants around town. Wear the sticker, take a selfie, and post your ‘stache photo to social media using hashtag #movmeberchs
• Friday. November 7th, 2 pm – 8 pm
  • Movember Kick-Off Party at Holy City Brewing
  • Celebrate the launch of Movember
• Friday, November 14th at 7 pm
  • Mo’ Diggity ‘Stache Bash at DIG in the Park
  • Pin the moustache game, a giant moustache seesaw
  • $2 Budweiser and $4.50 Traveler Brewery beers
  • Prizes will be awarded for best, worst, and creepiest ‘stache.
• Saturday, November 22nd, 7 pm – 11 pm
  • Moustache Competition at Mex 1 Coastal Cantina
  • Local celebrity judges will pick the winners
  • Enjoy prizes, an ice luge, live music
• Friday, December 5th, 6 pm – 9 pm
  • “Grow Out Blow Out” Finale for Movember at Palmetto Brewing Co
  • Contest for best moustaches
  • Local brews, food, and live music.
