Freeze Your Bills Off at Folly’s Bill Murray Look-a-Like Polar Plunge
On Thursday, January 1st at 1 pm, the 2nd annual Bill Murray Look-a-Like Polar Bear Plunge will take place in front of the Tides Hotel on Folly Beach. As you can probably tell from the event’s title, the plunge will once again pay homage to the Holy City’s favorite resident – Mr. Bill Murray.
All attendees are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite Bill Murray character and prepare to “freeze their Bills off.” Registration begins at 11 am while the Bill Murray Look-a-Like Contest begins at noon. A panel of judges will give out awards for Best Guy, Best Girl, Best Team, and Best Overall Bill Murray.
Plenty of Folly restaurants and bars will be open early so guests can enjoy some pre-plunge Screwdrivers and Bloody Marys for $4 each. During the event, the Folly Association of Business will sell commemorative t-shirts that will benefit Surfers Healing.
