Commune. Celebrates 2015 Season with Launch Party
After a successful six-event run last year, the Commune. dinner series is returning in 2015. To celebrate the new season, organizers will host a launch party on Sunday, February 22nd from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Technical Events Company Warehouse (2925 Meeting Street).
The party will feature Texas pitmaster John Lewis of Austin’s La Barbeque, Cory Burke of Roti Rolls, local distillers, musicians, and the Cannonborough Beverage Company.
Lewis, who is opening a restaurant in Charleston, will work with Burke to create an Austin-themed menu inspired by Cannonborough’s sodas. Plus, local distillers will create cocktails featuring the drinks.
The evening’s soundtrack will be provided by Campbell Brown of Gaslight Street, Oliver Goldstein and Daniel Crider of the Dead 27s, and Jeff Kozelski of Outervention.
During the party, this year’s event schedule will be announced and discounted tickets will be available for purchase.
Tickets to the launch party are $60 in advance ($75 at the door) and include food, craft cocktails, and local beer. They can be purchased here.
According to organizers, the goal of Commune’s dinners is “to give guests an insider’s look at local purveyors while allowing Charleston’s best chefs to experiment in a collaborative creative environment.”
