Home Team and Swig & Swine Team Up For “Smokin’ for The Holmes Team”
On Saturday, April 11th, Home Team BBQ in West Ashley will host “Smokin’ For The Holmes Team” to raise money for Holmes Team. The event will run from 3 pm until 6 pm and will also feature the team from Swig & Swine.
Through longtime friends, the Home Team BBQ team met Holmes, a five-year-old boy from Brevard, NC that has brain cancer. He has been diagnosed with a Glial Fibrillary Astrocytoma brain tumor, and due to his age and size, doctors are unable to operate. He is beginning treatment, so Home Team BBQ hopes to raise funds for Holmes’s family.
Swig & Swine will be joining efforts by creating a “smoked” menu that features brisket, beef ribs, and sides. Plus, Coast Brewery will be on-site serving beer.
The event will also include live music by Underhill Rose, a silent auction, and superhero themed kids’ activities. A kid’s menu featuring hot dogs, tater tots, and mac and cheese will be available.
Admission is $50 for adults and $15 for children. All proceeds will be donated to Holmes Team. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
