M.o.M Event: Fish the Landing Bass Tournament
The first ever Month of Man (M.o.M) competition is already underway, but there are still plenty of events left for you to enjoy. The month-long celebration of men continues on Saturday, May 9th with “Fish the Landing” Bass Tournament.
On Purposes Adventures, which created the competition, says the goal is to create a sense of community and camaraderie between members that will foster friendships and competition for years to come. (For more information on M.o.M, click here.)
The fishing competition will take place this Saturday from 6 am until 9 am at Charlestowne Landing. Here are some details:
- Anyone can watch, but if you want to fish, you must register online or from 6 am – 6:30 am on the day of the event
- You must bring your own gear, tackle, bait ,AND have a freshwater fishing license (can be purchased in many locations, including Wal-Mart)
- You can tour Charlestowne Landing after the tournament is over
- Catch and release only
- The day’s two categories are Longest Bass and Most Bass
- You will receive the following points:
- Attendance: 250 pts
- Competition: 150pts for each attempted
- Performance per competition:
- 1000pts – 1st
- 750pts – 2nd
- 500pts – 3rd
- Free to attend and compete
- Food and drink available to purchase
