3rd Annual “Tomayto Tomahto” Event Set for 6/27
The folks over at Mixson Market are once again celebrating tomato season with the “Tomayto-Tomahto” event on Saturday, June 27th from 10 am until 3 pm.
This year’s event will include the “Hot Chef Salsa Smackdown,” a tomato pie contest, tomato-inspired samplings, a Blood Mary bar, and more.
Attendees will help choose the winner of the Hot Chef Salsa Smackdown, which will feature Bryan Cates of Basico, Russ Moore of SNOB, Jacques Larson of Wild Olive/Obstinate Daughter, and Graham Dailey of Peninsula Grill.
The popular tomato pie contest returns for an other year, and anyone can compete. If you are interested in entering the competition, e-mail bryan@mixsonbrc.com.
The event will also include tomato-inspired ice cream and sorbet from Kelly Chu’s Cirsea ice cream company. There will be cups and pints for sale.
