Home Team BBQ Named One of the South’s Top 50 BBQ Joints
Charleston’s Home Team BBQ was included in Southern Living’s list of the “The South’s Top 50 Barbecue Joints.” A few nearby establishments were also featured.
The local eatery was joined on the list by these Palmetto State restaurants: Scott’s Bar-B-Que (Hemingway), Cannon’s BBQ (Little Mountain), Carolina Bar-B-Que (New Ellenton), Cooper’s Country Store (Salters), Henry’s Smokehouse (Greenville), Hite’s Bar-B-Que (West Columbia), Jackie Hite’s (Leesville), and McCabe’s Bar-B-Que (Manning).
Also on the list was Pitmaster John Lewis’ La Barbecue from Austin, Texas. In the near future, Lewis will be opening Lewis Barbecue at 64 N. Nassau Street in downtown Charleston. Home Team BBQ is expected to open a new location at 126 Williman Street around the same time.
