The Glass Onion’s Annual Julia Child Birthday Dinner Scheduled for 8/15

On Saturday, August 15th, The Glass Onion will host its annual celebration dinner in honor of Julia Child.  That day would have been the chef/author/tv personality’s 103rd birthday.

For $45 per person, dinners can enjoy a special three-course menu. There will be optional French wine pairings for $25 per person.

The menu includes:

First Course

• Haricots A Letuvee – Baby Green Beans, Bibb Lettuce, Sweet Onion Cream
• Quenelles De Crustaces – Shrimp Dumplings, Shrimp, Crawfish, Mushrooms
• Salade de Ris De Veau A La Parisienne – Veal Sweet Breads, Hard Egg, Frisee, Potato, Caper
  • Wine Pairings
    • Kuentz-Bas, Pinot Blanc ’13 or
    • Domaine Dupeuble, Beaujolais Rouge ‘14

Second Course

• Bouillabaisse – Poached Local Fish Filet, Shrimp, Crawfish, Mussels, Spiced Herb Broth, Toast
• Civet De Mouton – Braised Lamb, Mushrooms, Bacon, Sweet Onion, Potato
• Caille Roti a La Normande – Roast Quail Stuffed with Gizzards and Cream Cheese, Potato, Mushroom

    • Dominique Cornin, Pouilly-Fuisse ’13 or
    • Chateau Coupe Roses, Minervois Orience ‘11

Third Course

• Chocolat Crème Brulee
• Rhum Baba
• Peche Galette
