Celebrate Jamaica Day at the SC Reggae Jerk & Wine Festival on 8/30

reggaejerkwineOn August 30th, the Charleston community is invited to celebrate Jamaica Day in the Carolinas at the South Carolina Reggae Jerk & Wine Festival at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. The event will run from noon until 7:30 pm.

Attendees will be able to enjoy:

  • Succulent jerk foods like pork, fish, chicken
  • Live Reggae music from Kenne Blessin and The Dubplates
  • Wine tastings
  • a Dominoes tournament
  • a Pepper-eating contest
  • Jamaican Ludo
  • Caribbean Marketplace with vendors
  • Beer and wine bar

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Healthy Lifestyle Network. Representatives will also be collecting school supplies, soccer balls sizes 3 & 4, and shin guards for the students of the Shelton Project.

Tickets are $25 if purchased in advance. Designated Drivers get in for $15.  Tickets may be purchased here.
