492 Set to Launch Monthly Guest Bartender Series Next Week
Beginning on Tuesday, August 25th, upper King Street’s 492 will launch an end-of-the-month guest bartender series organized by bar manager Megan Deschaine. Each event will run from 5 pm until closing time.
Each month, a local bartender will present a unique theme and cocktail menu. August’s scheduled guest is Caroline Woodruff of Husk, who will be creating drinks with the theme, “Whiskey Summer Camp.”
“This guest series is really about community. We have so much talent right here in our backyard, so why not play together?” Deschaine said via a press release. “I love the idea of getting behind the stick with other bartenders as a way to learn and create more camaraderie.”
Following Woodruff, bar patrons can expect:
- Tiki-themed cocktails from Burwell’s Jon Calo on September 29th
- A daiquiri themed cocktail menu from Sam Gabrielli of McCrady’s on October 27th.
The regular 492 bar menu will be available on these nights. The guest bartender’s cocktails will be $8.
