Basketball Tourney Takes Over the Yorktown’s Deck this Saturday
Have you ever dreamed of taking part in a battle on the historic deck of the USS Yorktown? This Halloween, you’ll be able to do just that…if you’re a basketball fan.If you board the famous ship on Saturday, you’ll notice that basketball hoops, not fighter jets, align the deck. That’s because BallersWorld, a pick-up basketball website, will host The Battle on the Deck, a day-long tournament.
The event will include food, music, children’s activities, and tons of basketball games! The tournament will include age-based brackets (starting at 10 years old), a co-ed bracket, and a corporate bracket. It’s $100 per team to participate. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Wings for Kids, a local after school program.
Spectators are welcome. Regular admission to the Yorktown is $20 per person, but if you mention the tournament, you’ll get in for $10.
