Buy Local Month Began Today
The 9th annual Buy Local Month began today and will run through December 15th and will once again be hosted by Lowcountry Local First. The group will be putting on multiple events that promote local businesses and products. In addition, the organization will throw the Buy Local Block Party on Saturday, November 21st at 1630 Meeting Street Road.
The goal of Buy Local Month is to “educate the public and shift consumer spending, keeping holiday dollars flowing within our local economy.”
This year’s Block Party will run from 11 am until 5 pm and includes:
- Locally-owned, independent businesses
- Live music
- Local artists
- Indie retailers
- Film
- Local food, beverages, and beer garden.
- Vendors
- All local Farm Market Stand
The organization will host the first ever “Golden Ticket Contest” with Sweeteeth Chocolate. There are some incredible prizes. Get the details here.
