Published

image001(2)This Saturday during the Charleston Farmer’s Market, Slow Food Charleston will debut a new initiative called “Tiny Tastemakers.” The program aims to educate children about local food, it’s growers, and ways to support them.

The first session will focus on local apples. All participants will taste apples from the Barnwell Apple House and vote for their favorite. They’ll also have the choice of receiving a caramel apple from BeardCat’s Sweetshop or a small bag of apples.

There is a suggested donation of $5 per child to participate. The program will run from 9 am to 2 pm in Marion Square.
