Charleston Picked as Best North American City

A month after Travel + Leisure’s readers  said the Holy City was the second best Destination of the Year for 2015, the group picked Charleston as the Best City in North America.

New Orleans finished second in the category, while nearby Savannah was No. 4.

The magazine said  Charleston topped the survey by “balancing sophisticated tastes with small-town charm.”
