Seattle’s MOD Pizza Opens First SC Location on Friday
MOD Pizza, the Seattle-based, “fast casual” restaurant chain, will open its first South Carolina location at 145 Calhoun Street in Charleston on Friday at 11 am. On opening day, the business will donate 100% of its pizza sales to One80 Place, a local non-profit that provides food, shelter and hope to end homelessness and hunger in the city.
At MOD, guests can create their own pizzas and salads, using any combination of over 30 toppings including sauces, cheeses, dressings, veggies, fruit, herbs, meats, and more. Patrons can also choose from a menu of standard offerings. Each pizza is made on demand and then cooked in an 800 degree oven in less than three minutes.
Regardless of how many toppings are added, the price remains the same. The signature MOD (an 11-inch personal pizza or salad) is $7.97. There are also “mini” and “mega” versions, local craft beers, wine, milkshakes, and house-made lemonades and iced teas.
