RiverDogs Release 2016 Promos & Specials

With the start of the 2016 baseball season less than a month away, the Charleston RiverDogs have dialed up some excitement by announcing this year’s promotions and specials.

Besides the action the field, here are some of the things fans can enjoy this year during  Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park’s 20th season:

• Mondays
  • “Dog Days”
    • Bring your pup to cheer with the crowd
  • $1 beers and $1 hot dogs
  • “Dogs with a Cause”
    • A different local nonprofit is featured each week
      
• Tuesdays
  • “Take Me Out” Tuesdays
    • Special ticket packages include a 2-for-$20 deal that includes two tickets and two meals for just $20
• Wednesdays
  • “Senior Wednesdays”
  • Seniors (65+) that enter the gates by 7 pm get a free hot dog, chips, and drink
  • “Service Industry Night”
    • Service Industry workers get food specials and seating in a reserved area
    • Workers go head-to-head in a series of “Chopped” style competitions
• Thursdays
  • “Thirsty Thursday”
    • Music from DJ Natty Heavy and $1 beers in the Ashley View Pub above the third base line.
• Fridays
  • “Red Shirt Fridays”
    • All fans who wear red shirts to the game will save $1 off the purchase of their ticket at the gate with the option to donate it to the Wounded Warrior Corps
    • RiverDogs will wear specialty red uniforms to honor our military
  • Postgame fireworks
• Saturdays
  • “Saturdays Live at The Joe”
  • Different postgame showcase each Saturdays
    • April 9th features Human Cannonball Show with David “The Bullet” Smith
    • June 4th includes Speed Painter Tim Decker
    • August 6th will be “Caturday Night at The Joe”
      • Internet cat video festivities
  • Pregame autographs from the RiverDogs players.
• Sundays
  • “Holy City Sundays”
    • Team will wear “Holy City” jerseys and hats
  • “Kids Club Sunday”
    • Free parking
    • Lowcountry kids eat for free
    • Pregame catch on the field
    • Run the bases postgame

There will also be several theme nights throughout the season. Highlights include:

• May 6: Darius Rucker Surprise 50th Birthday Celebration
• July 1: Watermelon Day
• August 8: Rainbows Night
• August 23: Bobbl’ection 2016
