Bohicket Marina Hosts 2nd Charity Chili Cook-Off this Saturday
This Saturday, Bohicket Marina on Seabrook Island is hosting the 2nd Annual Chili Cook Off between 1 pm and 4 pm.
The event will benefit Backpack Buddies, a program that feeds kids on Johns Island. Each weekend, the organization sends backpacks full of nutritious food and snacks home with 380 local school children.
The cook-off will feature 40 participating teams, live music, and beer/beverages available for purchase.
Although Box and Jessie B from 105.5 The Bridge will judge the chili cook-off, a People’s Choice Award will also be given out. Patrons vote on their favorite chilis with donation dollars.
Admission is $10. Tickets can be purchased on the day of the event or in advance at The Beached Dog or The Ice Cream Boat.
