Beer School Returns to Edmund’s Oast this Summer

Published

on

Edmund’s Oast has announced that their popular Beer School series will return next week. The events will be held on the third Wednesday of each month through July.

Each class will be led by Brandon Plyler, who is a Certified Cicerone and the manager at The Charleston Beer Exchange.

The event schedule is as follows (class descriptions were provided by the restaurant):

  • May 18, 2016

    • 50 Shades of Farmhouse:
      • “Explore what ‘Farmhouse’ means and the varying degrees of weirdness and experimentation this vague category of beer covers”
      • Beers will be paired with cheeses from goat.sheep.cow.
      • $45 per person. Buy tickets here.
  • June 15, 2016

    • Not So Sour

      • “Sour Beer is not a style or really even a category of beer. Often super sour beers are what super fans crave. But, intense acidity turns off some folks new to these beers. For this class, we will feature beers that have a lighter touch of acidity to really give anyone a good taste of what is so exciting about sours. “
      • $35 per person. Buy tickets here.
  • July 20, 2016

    • Gluten-Be-Gone!
      • “This class will showcase an interesting look at gluten free options for drinking. Enjoy a gluten-free beer, a gluten-removed beer, and also a cider and meads.”
      • Chef Reid Henninger will offer gluten free snacks to pair with the class.
      • $45 per person. Buy tickets here.

Each class starts at 6:30 pm. If you purchase all three classes, you receive a $10 discount for the entire series.
