LEGO Animal Sculptures Coming to the SC Aquarium

Published

on

BricksAliveBLOGThis summer, the South Carolina Aquarium will debut a new exhibit featuring a staple from many people’s childhood – LEGOs. BricksALIVE, which opens on August 19th, will feature a collection of twelve life-sized animal sculptures of species that call South Carolina home.

More than 250,000 LEGO bricks will form sculptures including a bald eagle, a sea turtle, a river otter, and an 8-foot dolphin. In addition, guests can visit an interactive building station to create their own sculptures, which when finished, can be added to a “coral reef” featuring other visitors’ creations.

The Aquarium is accepting gently used LEGO bricks and plates to help finish the new sculptures. For more information on the donations being accepted, click here.
