Kids ages 8 to 17, who  applied for camp scholarships to attend the event, will learn about healthy eating habits, cooking for their families, and how to have fun in the kitchen. The week-long camp takes place August 1st to the 5th.

The goal of Kids in the Kitchen is to help children who are part of the free and reduced lunch program to understand there are other options besides fast food and frozen meals.
