The Original King Street Grille is Closing on 8/28
After 13 years of business, King Street Grille’s original location will be closing its doors on Sunday, August 28th.
According to a press release put out by the restaurant, the sports bar is shuttering due to non-renewal of their lease on lower King Street.
Despite losing its namesake location, King Street Grille (KSG) still has five other South Carolina locations – North Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Kiawah Island, Murrells Inlet and Myrtle Beach. Owners said they plan to assist their downtown employees with finding jobs at the other locations or at different restaurants in the Charleston area.
KSG owners also said they would be actively searching for a return to King Street where the lease agreement would be beneficial to all parties.
The King Street restaurant will be open for normal operating hours next week. For more information, visit TheKingStreetGrille.com.
