The Shrimp on the Barbie Shrimp Throwdown Debuts on 10/1

Add another local food competition event to your calendar! The inaugural “Shrimp on the Barbie Shrimp Throwdown” will be held on Saturday, October 1st at the Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina. The event will run from 1 pm to 5 pm.

Some of Charleston’s top chefs will compete for the Shrimp Throwdown title, which includes winning a Golden Ticket to to the World Food Championship’s Seafood Competition this November. 

Besides watching the competition, attendees will enjoy live music, local beer, and plenty of food.

Ticket prices are as follows:

• $10  for adults
• $5 for children ages 5-12
• F&B Tickets are $1 each
• Shrimp tasting tickets are $2 for 2-oz. portion
