The 7th Annual Avondale 5K Run + Walk is Next Month

The 7th Annual Avondale 5K Run + Walk will be held at 8 am on Saturday, October 8th. The West Ashley event benefits The Charles Webb Center.

Here are some details:

• The race starts on Magnolia Road in front of Triangle Char and Bar (828 Savannah Highway)
• Strollers and dogs are welcome
• The After Race Party will be at Triangle and includes music and all-inclusive food and drinks
• Awards and prizes will be given at the After Party
• Mayor John Tecklenburg will be in attendances and will even play a few tunes on piano for the crowd

Runners and walkers have the option to create their own teams in an additional effort to raise funds. For the team with the highest amount of money raised, Triangle will throw a private party for 25 people complete with drinks and food!

The Charles Webb Center is a non-profit, day care center that serves children from age 6 weeks to 10 years old who have developmental disabilities and special needs.
