Oyster Roast Benefiting East Cooper Meals on Wheels Scheduled for 2/19

East Cooper Meals on Wheels will hold its 4th Annual Oyster Roast on Sunday, October 16th from 3 pm to 6 pm at Palmetto Island County Park in Mt Pleasant. All proceeds benefit the group’s mission of providing daily nutrition to residents who are homebound or unable to provide their own meals.
In addition to oysters, the event will include the “Fireman’s Chili Throwdown” between three East Cooper Fire Departments where guests choose the winner by voting with dollars. There will also be a BBQ Competition, live music, prize drawings, additional food, beer, wine and beverages.
Admission, if purchased in advance online, is $35 and is all-inclusive. There is a $20 option which includes everything except oysters. Children under 12 are $10, while children under 5 are free. For more event information and to purchase tickets, visit www.ecmow.org/oyster-roast
