Jessica Biel & Bill Pullman will Film “The Sinner” in Charleston
I’m not saying this blog’s name inspired the new Jessica Biel project, but I would really like to. So, until she refutes it, that’s the story I’m going with.
Holy City Sinner has confirmed through multiple sources that USA Network’s crime drama The Sinner will have its pilot episode filmed in Charleston. Biel will executive produce and star in the show opposite Bill Pullman. The show is based on Petra Hammesfahr’s book of the same name.
Deadline says, The Sinner will feature Biel as a young mother, who “overcome by an inexplicable fit of rage, commits a startling and very public act of violence – and to her horror has no idea why. A rogue investigator (Pullman) finds himself obsessed with uncovering the woman’s buried motive, and together they travel a harrowing journey into the depths of her psyche and the violent secrets hidden in her past.”
According to a Facebook post from the South Carolina Film Commission, the production was looking for crew members back at the beginning of this month. In addition, TW Casting will handle casting for extras. If you are interested, visit their Facebook page here.
Biel is probably best remembered for playing Mary Camden in The WB’s family drama 7th Heaven. She is also know for her roles in movies like The Rules of Attraction, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003), Blade: Trinity, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, and The A-Team.
Pullman has starred in films like Spaceballs, While You Were Sleeping, Casper, Independence Day, and Independence Day: Resurgence.
The Sinner is the latest production to film in the Holy City, which has become a popular spot for both TV and cinema projects. Other productions that have called the Charleston area home include Top Chef, Vice Principals, Southern Charm, Naked, Leavey, The Inspectors, Reckless, and South of Hell.
