November Block Party Marks the Beginning of Buy Local Month

The 10th annual Buy Local Month begins on Tuesday, November 15th and runs through Thursday, December 15th. The campaign is once again run by Lowcountry Local First.

The group will be putting on multiple events that promote local businesses and products. In addition, the organization will throw the 3rd Annual Buy Local Block Party on Saturday, November 12th at 1630 Meeting Street Road.

The goal of Buy Local Month is to “educate the public and shift consumer spending, keeping holiday dollars flowing within our local economy.”

This year’s Block Party will run from 11 am until 4 pm and includes:

• Locally-owned, independent businesses
• Live music
• Local artists
• Indie retailers
• Local food, beverages, and beer garden.
• 40+ vendors (artists, makers, and craftspeople)
• All local Farm Market Stand
