Pet Fest Returns in March
All Holy City puppies are invited to the annual Pet Fest at the Mount Pleasant Palmetto Islands County Park on Saturday, March 18th and Sunday, March 19th. The event will run from 10 am until 4 pm on both days.
The festival boasts a weekend full of exhibits, demonstrations, experts, and entertainment. Some examples include:
- Live music from 2 pm to 4 pm
- Saturday: Dave Landeo
- Sunday: Return of the Mac
- K9s in Flight Frisbee Dogs (11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm).

- Lowcountry Dog Magazine’s Cover Model Contest
- Charleston Kennel Club’s “Meet the Breed” Family Dog Show (Sunday, 12:30 pm)
- STARR (Search, Tactics, And Rescue/Recover) Team Demonstrations

- Best Trick
- Owner Pet Look-Alike
- Face Only a Mother Could Love
- Musical Sit
- Best Dog Costume (times will be posted at the event)
- Swift Paws Lure Chasing
- Your dog can race on a lure course for a $10 donation
- Veterinarians, trainers, groomers, and pet suppliers
- Nutrition, education, and training tents
- Rescue groups and adoption centers with adoptable animals
- Pet Fest attendees who adopt a pet from the Charleston Animal Society at the event will receive an individual annual park pass to one of the Charleston County Parks (value $30)
- Children’s activities
- Food, beverages, and beer for sale
- Canine Good Citizens Test and the Canine Community Test – see if your dog is ready for certification (Saturday only)
- Dog washing station (with a $5 donation)
Admission is $8 per day. Admission is discounted to $5 per person with a pet food or supply donation to the Charleston Animal Society (at the park gate). Children (12 and under), Gold Pass Members, and leashed pets are all free. For more information, visit the official website.
