5Church to Host Schug Winery Dinner on 1/30

5Church is hosting a Schug Winery Dinner with winemaker Michael Cox on Monday, January 30th from 7 pm to 10 pm. The Schug Carneros Estate Winery is located in Sonoma, California.

A special six-course tasting menu prepared by 5Church Executive Chef Adam Hodgson will be paired with Schug Wines. Here’s a look at the menu:

Amuse

  • Inside-Out Carpaccio: Blue Jay Tomato Confit Bread, Togarashi Aioli, Pommes Paille

First Course

  • Parsnip and Leek Soup: Granny Smith Apple, Parsley, Lava Salt
  • 2015 Schug Sauvignon Blanc, Sonoma Coast

Second Course

  • Goose Charcuterie Board: Goose Prosciutto, Goose Rillettes, Goose Liver Mousse, Confit Quince, Beer Mustard, Grilled Sourdough
  • 2013 Schug Pinot Noir, Estate Vineyard, Carneros

Third Course

  • Pecan-Crusted Pork Belly: Apricot Glaze, Popcorn Grits, Sumac
  • 2014 Schug Chardonnay, Carneros

Fourth Course

  • Pan-Roasted Halibut: Root Vegetable Gnocchi, Rainbow Baby Carrots, Caramelized Kumquat, Orange Emulsion
  • 2013 Schug Rouge de Noir, Carneros

Fifth Course

  • Ribeye Cap: Pioppini Mushroom, Salted Baby Gold Potatoes, Chimichurri
  • 2013 Schug Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma Valley

Dessert

  • Pear Tart: Almond Chantilly, Sauvignon Blanc Pear Gastrique
  • 5Church’s Signature Coffee Service: Chocolate Sticks and Jelly Beans
