Tiger Lily Celebrates Women’s Day with Daffodil Bouquets, Donations to Local Nonprofit

For the second straight year, Charleston florist Tiger Lily will celebrate inspirational women by giving away 200 bouquets of daffodils at its downtown location on International Women’s Day.

On Wednesday, March 8th, customers will be given two five-stem daffodil bouquets – one they keep and one to “petal it forward” to a woman who has made a difference in their life.

A requested $5 donation for the flowers will be given to Thrive SC, which provides short-term and longer-stay transitional housing, cutting-edge services, and holistic resources for women and children survivors of domestic violence.

Thrive SC is also Tiger Lily’s “Charity in Bloom” recipient. During the month of March, 20% of the proceeds from a designated special arrangement will be donated to the organization.

International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. It has been observed since the early 1900s.
