Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for City Bike Share Program to be held May 30th

Gotcha Bike will launch the first official city bike share program, Holy Spokes, with title partner MUSC Health at ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, May 30th at 11 am.

Remarks will be made by Mayor Tecklenburg; Sean Flood, CEO of The Gotcha Group; Councilman Michael Seekings; and Patrick J. Cawley, MD and CEO of MUSC Health and Vice President for Health Affairs, University.

Once Holy Spokes officially launches, Charleston residents and visitors will have access to 250 of the nation’s smartest bikes at 27 corrals strategically placed throughout the peninsula. The service is expected to inspire healthy exercise and relieve some of the city’s parking and traffic pressures. For more information, visit http://charlestonbikeshare.com.

The ceremony will be held at the MUSC Urban Farm at 40 Bee Street in downtown Charleston.
