Drink up the 2nd Annual Charleston RumFest on October 14th
The 2nd Annual Charleston RumFest (formerly known as Rum Runners), an event celebrating the spirits and flavors of the West Indies, will take place at the Memminger Auditorium on Saturday, October 14th.
The event includes cocktails, food pairings from local chefs, dozens of global rum distilleries, music, and entertainment.
Guests can also enjoy:
- “Drink the Plank” – The Caribbean version of the Shot-Ski
- “Bacardi Cave- Follow the Bat” – A treasure hunt
- “Knot So Fast” – How many knots can you tie in a minute and can your partner escape?
- “Blue Chair Bay Dance Party”
- “Pirate Dice” – A dice game
- “Spin the Wench” – Dizzy bat meets pirate sword
Participating distilleries include Bacardi, Papa’s Pilar, Zacapa, Kraken, Rum Haven, Sailor Jerry, Flor de Cana, Don Q, Appleton, Cruzan, Endless Summer Rum, Blue Chair Bay Rum, Firefly Sea Island Rum, and Red Harbor Rum.
Participating restaurants include Cane Rhum Bar, Victor’s Social Club, Rebel Taqueria, The Cocktail Club, Cherrywood BBQ, Tropical By Pacha Macha, and Caribbean Delight.
RumFest tickets are all-inclusive, providing guests with unlimited sampling from all participating distilleries and restaurants. Tickets are $75 each, all guests must be 21+ with valid ID. Proceeds from the event benefit the Cancer Survivor Programs of Dragon Boat Charleston.
Prior to the event, “Rum Hour” will take place at six participating restaurants where patrons will vote to determine which cocktails move on to be part of the 35 unique and world-class creations showcased at this year’s event.
