SK8 Charleston to host this year’s Holy City Hullabaloo
SK8 Charleston, the Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission’s skate park, will host this year’s Holy City Hullabaloo, a two-day punk and ska music festival. The event will take place on September 29th and 30th.
The Holy City Hullabaloo will feature over 15 of the best indie punk, ska punk, and punk bands from across the nation. Bands performing include Wilmington, NC-based Madd Hatters, North Charleston-based Hearts on Fire, and Tallahassee-based Chilled Monkey Brains. Day one of the festival will be headlined by New York City’s the Toasters, who have been labeled as “Ska Pioneers” by Billboard magazine.
The schedule is as follows –
- Friday, September 29th: 5:30 pm to 10 pm
- Saturday, September 30th: 3:45 pm to 10 pm
Tickets for the event are $15 for two days or $12 for one day. SK8 Charleston and Gold Pass members are offered a discounted one-day ticket for $10. Tickets can be purchased online, by phone at (843) 795-4386, or at SK8 Charleston. Skating will be permitted during the event.
