GCRA Establishes Fund for Chef Shane Whiddon’s Wife and Children

In light of yesterday’s shooting at Virginia’s On King that resulted in the death of Executive Chef Shane Whiddon, the Greater Charleston Restaurant Association, Inc. (GCRA), on behalf of Bennett Hospitality, has set up a fund to make collective donations to Chef Whiddon’s wife and children. Details for the hospitality industry’s donations can be found below:

“Without a doubt, this has been a difficult week for our beloved community,” GCRA President Randall Goldman said. “As we pause to reflect and heal from this awful tragedy, we gain solace in the strength, love and support being directed to Chef Shane’s family. Our community is strong and focused on our future, we will however never forget yesterday’s tragic impact.”
