Inspired 3 years ago by her Great Dane (then) puppy, Monty, owner Carrie Montgomery thought of The Dog Wash based on her own need. After a day at the dog park, Monty was in desperate need of a bath before returning home, but there was no place to go. With experience in the pet industry in NYC and her personal understanding of the demand for something quick, easy and affordable, Carrie knew that other dog lovers would take to the dog wash concept as well.
The Dog Wash is 1000 square feet of classic barber shop-inspired space featuring black and white floor tile, red tubs, and faux leather furniture. The DIY service includes access to tools for nails, eyes, ears, teeth, and towels/dryers.
Appointments for more intensive grooming are also available. Prices range from $25 for the do-it-yourself service to $50 for the higher end drop-off options. When the wash is done, customers can shop a great selection of collars, leashes, and treats for both canine and “mom and dad.”
Regular hours for the Dog Wash will be: Tuesday through Saturday 10 am – 6 pm, Sunday 11 am – 5 pm, and Monday by appointment only. Learn more about the The Dog Wash at www.dogwashcharleston.com.
