Charleston County Parks Hosts Annual Harvest Festival on Nov. 4

Charleston County Parks will once again host the Harvest Festival at the Johns Island Park. The 16th annual event will be held on Saturday, November 4th from 11 am until 5 pm.

This year’s festival includes:

  • Live bluegrass music from five local bands
    • Blue Plantation
    • YeeHaw Junction
    • Southern Flavor Bluegrass
    • Marshgrass Mamas
    • Boss Hawg
  • Food
    • Southern Barbeque
    • Roasted and boiled peanuts
    • Kettle korn
    • Traditional festival fare
    • Cold beverages
  • Crafters’ market
  • Children’s activities
    • Hay rides
    • A stick pony corral
    • Pumpkin decorating
    • Penny diving
    • Youth Archery Turkey Day Shoot (turkeys will not be harmed in this competition)
  • Harvest Festival Weekend Trail Ride
    • As part of the festival, Mullet Hall Equestrian Center at Johns Island County Park offers the Harvest Festival Weekend Trail Ride for horse owners from November 3-5. Equestrians are invited to bring camping gear and supplies for two nights of camping and trail riding on 20 miles of wooded trails. For details, call 843-795-4386 or visit CharlestonCountyParks.com.
