Music Festival to Raise Money for Hurricane Relief
On Sunday, October 15th, the Charleston community is invited to come together for “Heart For The Islands,” a musical festival to raise money for hurricane relief in Puerto Rico and the surrounding islands. The event will be held from 1 pm to 10 pm at Mainland Container Company in Mount Pleasant.
The festival includes a BBQ buffet, twenty-two acts performing on two stages, and a silent auction. There will be a $15 cover with 100% of the proceeds going to The Red Cross and The Salvation Army for Hurricane Maria Relief in Puerto Rico and the surrounding Islands.
Performers include Bobbie Storm Trio, Ted McKee Jazz Trio, Bobby Houck (of the Blue Dogs), Call Mama Band, Big Frank Waddell, The Flying Buganskis, Allison Tysinger, Adele Tobin, Jamie Campanaro, Marci Shore & Jason Shore, Patience Jazz Group, Bradford Station, Sissy Kearney, Steve Simon, Mojo McGee, Todd Beals Trio, Kevin Church, Ed Hunnicutt & Sarah Hunnicutt, Bobby & Robert Alvarez, Susie Summers & Al, Mike & Beth Thompson, and The Carroll Brown Band.
