About the James Island Junior Theater
The success of two prior Kids on Stage (a C-PAC youth outreach program) productions demonstrated the need for providing quality theatrical education and performing opportunities for James Island, Johns Island and Folly Beach Youth. James Island Junior Theatre’s approach to the rehearsal process encourages cast members to Learn, Experiment, Apply and Perform (LEAP). Little Mermaid Jr. was the first of 4 productions scheduled for this season of the James Island Junior Theatre. Upcoming shows include The Wizard of Oz, Disney’s Peter Pan Jr., and Hairspray Jr.
