Charleston Restaurants Offering Thanksgiving Dinner To Go! (2017 Edition)

Is Thanksgiving just too stressful for you? Would you rather leave the cooking to someone else? If you answered yes to either of those questions, you’ll be relieved to hear that many Holy City businesses are here to help this holiday season!

  • Caviar & Bananas
    • Offering multiple options for Thanksgiving (and Christmas). You can see the menu here.
      • Deadline to order for Thanksgiving is Sunday, November 19th at 2 pm
  • Cru Catering
    • Offering both a la carte and prix fixe menu options available to order through 11/15 at 3 pm

  • Glass Onion
    • To-go menu items include:
      • Deviled Eggs
      • Butternut Squash Soup
      • Chicken & Andouille Gumbo
      • Cornbread Dressing with Belle’s Sausage and/or with Sausage and Oysters
      • Sweet Potato Casserole with Pecans
      • Braised Collard Greens
      • Local Goat Cheese Cheesecake

      • Glass Onion is also selling special wines that pair well with Thanksgiving dinner for $36 per bottle

  • Hall Management Group
    • Two main-course dinner choices:
      • an Oven-Roasted Turkey Dinner or a Honey-Baked Ham Dinner with family-style side dishes of mashed Yukon gold potatoes, whipped sweet potatoes with pecans, green been casserole, roasted root vegetables with carrots, parsnips, rutabaga and squash, plus Parker House rolls.
      • Both dinners come with stuffing. The turkey dinner has a traditional stuffing with celery, sage, onions and butter while the ham dinner has cornbread stuffing with sausage, herbs, onions and butter
      • Thanksgiving Dinners to Go serve four for $160, six for $210, eight for $280, or twelve for $420
      • Halls Special Addition sides, pies, and cakes can be added to an order

  • Hamby Catering
    • Several catering options available
      • Hamby’s Gobble Gobble Thanksgiving Package, priced at $155, serves up to eight people and includes plenty of familiar Turkey Day dishes and dressings. Plus, for every “Gobble Gobble” package purchased, Hamby will sponsor one Thanksgiving meal for a family in need via The Lowcountry Food Bank
      • They will also have an A La Carte menu which allows you to order individual sides, desserts, and extra traditional fixings
      • You can also upgrade your order to feed a larger crowd
      • Hamby Catering is currently accepting Thanksgiving orders until Friday, November 17th at noon.

  • Home Team BBQ
    • Offering a special menu for large party catering orders and private events booked in the restaurants
    • Beginning November 18th, with the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, guests can place large catering orders for pickup or delivery, depending on availability (Pickup will be offered at the downtown location only)
    • The menu will also be available for events held onsite in one of HTBBQ’s two private event spaces — at the downtown and West Ashley locations. 
    • Special offerings include smoked turkey and ham by the pound, along with traditional holiday sides including mashed Yukon Gold potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes, squash casserole, green bean casserole and cornbread stuffing. Each order of a side item will serve approximately 15 people
    • Unless otherwise requested, items will be packaged cold with the proper heating instructions included
    • Patrons can order a la carte, or select the combination package which includes turkey, ham, two sides and a choice of gravy or cranberry sauce
    • Contact a Home Team BBQ catering associate to help plan your holiday entertaining spread by calling 843-225-RIBS ext. 1 or e-mailing catering@hometeambbq.com.
    • Private event space in the restaurants can be booked via the same phone number and email address
    • All orders must be placed at least 36 hours in advance. The holiday menu will be available through April 1st to accommodate Easter orders.  
  • HonkyTonk Saloon
    • Offering smoked or fried turkey (14-pound) for $53 each
      • Can be ordered for pick-up or delivery preceding and throughout Thanksgiving Day
      • A selection of sides is available too

  • Lewis Barbecue
    • You can pre-order smoked turkey breasts and whole briskets, along with a selection of sides like their green chile corn pudding, cole slaw, and pinto beans
    • Pre-orders can be made by calling the restaurant at 843-805-9500 or e-mailing info@lewisbarbecue.com.
    • Available for pick-up on Wednesday, Nov. 22nd
  • Melvin’s BBQ

  • Ms. Rose’s
    • The restaurant’s pastry team (Tristan Catering + Events) is cooking hanksgiving day desserts
      • Pumpkin pie, dutch apple pie, pecan pie, or a blackout chocolate cake
      • All orders must be placed by Saturday, November 18

    • Offering smoked or fried turkey (14-pound) for $53 each
      • Can be ordered for pick-up or delivery preceding and throughout Thanksgiving Day

  • Rodney Scott’s BBQ
    • 15 pound pit-cooked turkeys at $80 a piece (only 100 available on a first-come first-serve basis)
    • Sides are available: Collards, Mac and Cheese, Potato Salad, and Coleslaw – half gallon for $18 or full gallon for $35
    • Sauce is included with turkeys, but extra sauce is available for purchase
    • Available for pre-sale only, beginning November 1st until order cut-off on November 15th with payment required upon ordering

  • Sticky Fingers
    • Guests can choose a full Thanksgiving Family Meal which includes a whole smoked turkey, 5 quarts of traditional sides, and pumpkin pie for $99
    • You can also order Thanksgiving favorites a la carte
    • For the night before Thanksgiving, you can pick up one of Sticky Fingers’ Bulk Take-Out Packages, which includes barbecue pork, smoked chicken, sides and lots of Sticky signature sauce. These bulk take-out packages feed anywhere form 8 to 30 people each.
