Charleston Symphony Orchestra Gala Fundraiser Set for January
This is an unedited press release:
On Thursday, January 18, 2018, join the Charleston Symphony Orchestra League, Inc. (CSOL®) as we continue a magical evening in celebration of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra (CSO) and the music of Bernstein and Gershwin. Enjoy festive foods reminiscent of the streets and neighborhoods of New York City, while mingling with patrons and musicians and browsing unique silent auction items in the Grand Ballroom of the Gaillard Center. A limited and exclusive auction of select items of interest will cap this very special event. It won’t be just any night….
The CSOL® is in its 53rd year supporting the CSO through financial contributions, music education programs and audience development. In addition to being the largest institutional donor to the CSO, the League awards $33,000 in music scholarships to talented youths, aged 10 to 18, from the tri-county area as well as members of the CSO. These scholarships enable the young musicians, as well as our professional orchestra members, to expand their musical talents and experiences.
Seating is limited! For more information and tickets, visit www.csolinc.org. Individual gala
tickets are $165. Tables of 10 for $1650 are available, along with sponsorship opportunities. The gala begins at 5:30 pm in the Gaillard Grand Ballroom with a silent auction preview. The evening’s CSO Pops Concert “Gershwin and Bernstein Take New York” follows at 7 pm. The Gala continues immediately after the concert. Please note: Concert tickets are purchased separately at www.charlestonsymphony.org.
