Wild Dunes Resort Offers Thanksgiving Savings and Activities

Wild Dunes Resort is offering savings and a variety of festive activities for Charleston families looking to experience a seaside staycation this Thanksgiving.

Guests can enjoy up to 25% off a stay at the resort’s AAA Four-Diamond rated Boardwalk Inn, Village at Wild Dunes, vacation homes, and condo rentals for stays November 19-30, 2017. Special holiday rates start at just $119 per night.

Below is a collection of Thanksgiving events families can enjoy this season at Wild Dunes Resort:

Harvest Hangout: November 22, 4-8 pm:

This family-friendly Lowcountry-themed event begins with fireside games and Bingo, along a sunset showing of A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. Guests can enjoy a southern dinner buffet with Lowcountry staples like Shrimp & Grits, Chicken & Waffles and Warm Chocolate Bread Pudding. $40/adults,  $15/children.

Tiny Turkey Tennis: November 23, various times

Little turkies looking for a game of tennis can have fun at a variety of Thanksgiving tennis clinics designed for children of all ages and skill levels.

Thanksgiving Feast: November 23, seatings at 1 and 4 pm

Those looking to leave the stress at home and cooking to the experts can head to the resort’s Sweetgrass Pavilion for a delicious Thanksgiving Feast. The buffet will be brimming with a cornucopia of delights from turkey and trimmings to studded pit ham and seafood. Reservations required. $55/adults, $25/children.

Thanksgiving Golf Cart Parade- November 23 at 10:30 am (Pictured above)

Families can start their Turkey Day off right by watching or joining Wild Dunes Resort’s annual Thanksgiving Golf Cart Parade. Departing from the front of the Harbor Golf Shop, holiday-adorned golf carts engage in a festive competition for best décor. The parade cruises down Palmetto Drive, led by the Isle of Palms Fire Department and followed by Santa Claus himself. *Picture below

 

Turkey Trot: November 25 at 8 a.m.

Guests can take some of the guilt out of their holiday eat-a-thon with a scenic 5K beach fun run. $25/person, includes T-shirt. Pre-register in advance by calling 843.886.7008.

 

Holiday Festival & Oyster Roast- November 24, 4:30-7:30 p.m.

Families can enjoy a seaside celebration complete with a tree lighting ceremony at the Grand Pavilion, and Lowcountry tradition of hot chili, s’mores and oyster shucking. Santa will also join for gingerbread house decorating and a sunset showing of A Charlie Brown Christmas.
